I recently got to see my favorite band, Soldiers of Jah Army, perform.  They looked tired from their long tour (and second show of the night), but it was good to see them.

Few bands write deep, meaningful lyrics.  Although, I really like SOJA’s new stuff, I often find myself singing one of their older songs: Rasta Courage.

A few lines:

I don’t defend white, and I don’t defend black.
I defend truth and rights and all of that.
I work on situations where I’m at
Hold my position and never fall of track.

Don’t give up my faith!
Though babylon rage,
I and i will strive until
The end of my days.

I especially like the part about working on the situation where we are at, and not giving up our faith.

Sing it guys, sing it.
