An essential difference between knowing and doing.

Actions speak louder than thoughts, yet we must have that guiding voice and thoughts first.

I have been having an internal shift recently towards greater gratitude for what I have (both materially and beyond material).  Give thanks.

I have learned a lot from my back surgery.  Even as the bandage comes off and some feeling returns to my leg, I must still rest and take it easy.

This does not come naturally to me, and being forced to slow down and nurture my help has been a great blessing.  I am truly appreciating my summer more in this condition.  Give thanks!

I’ve been living on this one for the past few days.

So often we think to just “go with the flow,” when so much more comes from life when we move in reverse of life’s current and reflect our awareness within.

I realized something on this last trip: you don’t just walk up and hug a redwood.  They’re way too humbling.

When I first walked up to a redwood on my trip up the California cost I was immediately humbled.  It was just so solemn.  Ancient.  Amazing.
